Frequently Asked Questions
Are kids welcome?
Absolutely! If we included your kids’ names on the envelope or made out your save-the-date to “The West Family,” it means little North West is invited, too. Just make sure they stay away from the beer taps.
Can I bring a date?
We come from large, close families and we’ve made so many wonderful friends, so we’ve had to be creative in making sure that we can fit everyone. If you want to know if we’re making room for your special someone, just reach out!
I’m coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
The short answer: Wherever you want. The long answer: Somewhere in Midtown Atlanta. It’s the closest hotel district to the brewery. We set aside room blocks at two hotels in the area, but feel free to stay anywhere you please. If you want to know more details about a hotel in the area, just ask!
Is there a rehearsal dinner? Am I invited?
We’re opting to totally replace the rehearsal dinner tradition with a Meet and Greet welcome party the night before the wedding at a restaurant in Midtown. Everyone’s invited to join. Dinner is on us! Bring cash or credit for drinks; pints, cocktails and glasses of wine are $4-$10. Dress casual. No jean shorts, though, Gators.
How do I get to the brewery?
If you’re staying at the Regency Suites, the hotel has arranged for a shuttle to take you to the brewery the night of the wedding. If you’re staying anywhere else, you’ll have to drive or take a taxi. There’s plenty of free parking right next to the brewery.
What will I wear!?
The event is semi-formal, but anything you want to wear we are sure will be OK. The bride requests you refrain from wearing a wedding dress, but if that’s really all you have to wear, be prepared for a #twinning portrait session.
What kind of food will you have? Anything vegetarian?
Expect guilty-pleasure Southern comfort foods served up from our favorite food truck. Leave your diets at home! If you or your guests won’t be omnivores come October, please let us know. All our entrees are meat-based.
I know there’ll be beer at the brewery, but what else?
We’ll have an open bar with wine and liquor flowing in addition to Monday Night’s three best brews on tap. There will be water and soda for the little ones.
What time will the reception end?
We’ll be clearing out of the brewery around 11pm. That doesn’t mean the party has to stop, though.
Will last names be changing after the wedding?
Taryn will be taking J.R.’s surname and giving “Fiol” a spot at the middle, making for a married monogram (“T.F.W.”) that’s hilariously close to WTF. J.R. is considering taking the opportunity to change his name as well, to Chalupa Batman. (That’s a joke.)
I have a question not answered here. How do I contact you?
Email is good. Or you can give us a ring or shoot a quick text. We check our snail mailbox infrequently, but always keep an eye out for the occasional smoke signal.
